Welcome to the 3rd International Conference on Engineering Challenges in Gulf Countries

The world is facing many engineering challenges in various engineering fields and Gulf countries are not an exemption from such challenges. Institution of Engineers India, Kuwait Chapter (IEI KC) felt that it is required to organize every year an international conference focusing specifically on engineering challenges the Gulf countries are facing and try to get the innovative solutions available for such challenges. Knowledge dissemination by experts and learning from them will help the engineers to use such knowledge in their work and for the nation building. The present one is the 3rd International Conference on Engineering Challenges in Gulf Countries (3rd ICECIG) by IEI KC.

The first and second ICECIG were organized in Radisson Blu, Kuwait during the last two years. Key note addresses and scientific paper presentations were carried out covering various engineering topics such as land and marine infrastructure development, oil and gas exploration and exploitation, waste management, renewable energy, food security and desert agriculture, environmental problems and management, and issues related to all other engineering fields which affect the socioeconomic development of Gulf countries.

The 3rd ICECIG will be organized on 22.1.2021, Friday from 3.30 to 8.30 pm (Kuwait time) by online. Dr. Mayilsamy Annadurai, the former Director of ISRO, India will be inaugurating the conference and provide an Inaugural address. The guest of Honors for this conference are HE Sini George, Ambassador of India, Embassy of India, Kuwait; Dr. TM Gunaraja, Chairman-World Federation of Engineers and Er. Narendhra Singh, President, IEI India. Er. Faisal D Altel, Chairman-Kuwait Society of Engineers will deliver the Chief Guest address. Eight experts from around the world in various engineering disciplines are invited to deliver keynote addresses covering different engineering issues.

We sincerely hope that this conference will reveal many innovative solutions in different engineering fields and benefit the engineers not only from Kuwait and Gulf countries but also for participants from around the world. IEI India is joining with us for wide dissemination of this conference and all other logistics. We are inviting engineers from around the world to participate and benefit out of this event.
